Environmental Solutions Group Recognized by Green Plus North American Sustainable Enterprise Awards

Environmental Solutions Group has achieved national recognition for the example they set as a sustainable small business.

Environmental Solutions Group achieved national recognition on Friday, June 18, at the Green Plus North American Sustainable Enterprise Awards. Environmental Solutions Group (ESG) was named as a finalist for by the Institute for Sustainable Development in the small business category.

Environmental Solutions Group achieved its Green Plus Certification in 2010. The company assesses buildings and develops remedial plans for hazard control and removal and provides third-party verification of ENERGY STAR Homes for the EPA. The firm recently launched a Carbon Footprint Reduction Program that certifies organizations for achieving a reduction in their greenhouse gas emissions.

"In the past couple of years Environmental Solutions Group has seen a dramatic increase in sustainable practices in workplaces and homes in Greensboro," says Craig Whittaker, Founder and President of ESG.
