Certified Aviation Services (CAS) has reached a partnering agreement with Lufthansa Technik as the exclusive service provider in North America of their Cyclean™ Engine Wash service. The contract names CAS to provide on-wing jet engine wash service in North America with open capacity to service all CAS markets as customer demand allows.

"The Cyclean™ Engine Wash System allows our airline customers to keep their engines on-wing longer while reducing operating costs and CO2 emissions," said John Landherr, President, Line Services Group, CAS. "We are very excited to partner with Lufthansa Technik and offer our customers these essential engine services across the United States. We pride ourselves in providing “value-added” services where and when our customers require it."

Lufthansa Technik is a recognized leader in the MRO Market and has been providing the Cyclean™ Engine
Wash service directly in the U.S. but the new agreement will now direct customers to CAS.

The benefits of the Cyclean™ Engine Wash are numerous. The entire process is environmentally safe as all waste is contained; the procedure uses as little as half the water of other methods, and it has been shown to reduce engine CO2 emissions between 0.5 and 0.75 percent. Cyclean™ can bring airlines savings of between 18,000 and 180,000 US dollars per aircraft (depending on aircraft and engine type) in fuel savings and added engine life. Cyclean is the only wash technology in the market to accomplish engine washes within one hour without a post wash run-up,” said Matthias Langko, Section Manager, Engine Life Cycle Services, Lufthansa Technik. The service is expedient and portable and it reduces the traditional engine washing time from six hours to one hour. The portability of the service allows for engine washing to happen directly at the gate, allowing airlines to keep their fleet on schedule.
