Our team felt a true sense of commitment and were dedicated to serving our local community
Baton Rouge, LA (PRWEB) June 28, 2010
Warrington Management Group, Inc., a Baton Rouge-based sales and marketing company, announced that the company recently volunteered their time with YELPBR, a project aimed at providing permanent homes for rescued dogs.
President Gene-Christian Baca and the Warrington Management Group team volunteered for more than six hours on Saturday, May 15th for YELPBR’s adoption day. Baca and his team were each assigned a dog; each team member was responsible for learning the history about his or her dog so that they’d be able to match them with the best owner possible. At the end of the day, the Warrington Management team helped place 12 abandoned dogs in new homes.
“Last year alone, East Baton Rouge Parish put down 90,000 dogs,” said President Gene-Christian Baca. “While this is an overwhelming number, we hope to continue volunteering so that we might be able to bring it down.”
After adopting a dog from the organization when he expanded to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Gene-Christian began to build a relationship with the organization. He offered his team and their sales expertise to the organization to help with their adoption day. The event was such a success that YELPBR and the Warrington Management Group have made plans to work with each other again in the future.
“Our team felt a true sense of commitment and were dedicated to serving our local community,” Gene-Christian Baca said. “Just volunteering for one day had an enormous impact on all of us – and left a long-lasting impression. We’re now planning to volunteer with additional organizations in the future and are really excited!”
