New Home Star Enters Austin Housing Market

New home sales and marketing company continues national expansion into Austin.

The Austin home building industry is exceptionally well-positioned for recovery. Having effectively managed much of the housing downturn and economic recession, Austin has one of the nation’s lowest unemployment rates and strongest job markets. Home to University of Texas and Dell Inc, Austin boasts an intelligent and sophisticated home building marketplace. The expiration of the national tax credit and restricted builder budgets, however, have resulted in a recent lag in sales and an amplified need for sales and marketing expertise. New Home Star has identified the need and intends to fill it.

It has been a busy year for New Home Star. Over the past twelve months, the new home sales and marketing company has opened new divisions from California to North Carolina. Most recently making their Texas debut in Austin, New Home Star will deliver a new level of sales and marketing sophistication to homebuilders and developers in the market.

“We couldn’t be more excited to finally be here in this great city. Austin is full of potential for those builders who make good decisions and work hard to execute them. We’ll give builders the sales expertise to capitalize on their hard work,” explains New Home Star President, David Rice. “Our national perspective and best practices will provide a great advantage to our local small and mid-size Austin builder partners. Last year we delivered a 31% year-over-year increase in signups, and we’ll do it again here.”

Although sales and marketing outsourcing is a newer concept in Austin, an increasing number of builders nationwide have found real promise in the New Home Star model. Providing a high degree of specialization with a variable-cost structure, New Home Star provides the look and feel of an in-house team, but allows builders to eliminate fixed overheads and operate more efficiently. Division President and long-time Austin resident, Rick Eades, believes this financial flexibility will be the differentiator for local builders moving forward.

“New Home Star is a tremendous asset for our local builders and developers. In this questionable economic period, we can help them turn the corner with more momentum and sustain an increased level of performance. Our approach is simple, but not easy,” said Eades. “We implement a disciplined sales process and deliver results that are clearly measurable. Our systems and processes tap into the full potential of a market and turn good sales teams into great ones. In Austin, that’s exactly what we need.”
