Its integrated nature ensures that teachers don't have to start their classroom planning from scratch, but rather provides the jumping off point for exploration, innovation and the personalization of learning.

With Pearson’s new SuccessNet Plus K-12 learning management system, America’s teachers can wield their centralized dashboard to bring together all the tools they need to personalize learning for every one of their students. SuccessNet Plus is the only K-12 platform that offers the unique combination of:
•Ready-to-use and customizable curriculum to meet class, school and district needs
•Formative, ongoing, and benchmark assessments integrated throughout curriculum to automatically inform and tailor instruction
•Fully integrated planning and tracking tools that simplify understanding students’ needs and informing decision-making.
Through SuccessNet Plus, teachers can tailor their instruction by rearranging and editing individual content items within comprehensive Pearson curriculum programs or by adding school, third-party, and self-created content and open educational resources (OER). Such flexibility lets teachers meet district guidelines, while paying attention to their specific classroom needs and teaching styles. Because the platform lets teachers upload a variety of materials, modify existing content, or even integrate resources created by a district administrator, curriculums can be completely customized.
In addition, classroom-based assessments are embedded alongside instruction within SuccessNet Plus to help teachers inform learning and remediation. The online platform helps teachers automatically deliver content at the appropriate difficulty level for each student based on the outcomes of these integrated assessments, going as far as to provide leveled lessons and personal study plans that are available at the click of a button.
The platform’s digital tools, such as integrated scheduling options and “drag and drop” assignment tools, enable teachers to save time on administrative and planning tasks and spend more time where it matters most – educating students.
“This powerful new assessment and curriculum platform is revolutionary because for the first time, Pearson is seamlessly knitting together complete, customizable curriculum, assessment-led instruction, and classroom administration services into one system. The digital instructional content and assessments needed in the classroom will be available from day one in SuccessNet Plus along side an interactive calendar, online grade book, lesson planner and reporting functions, which can help ease teachers’ administrative responsibilities,” Peter Cohen, Pearson’s CEO of Curriculum.
Cohen added, “Its integrated nature ensures that teachers don’t have to start their classroom planning from scratch, but rather provides the jumping off point for exploration, innovation and the personalization of learning.”
Currently, SuccessNet Plus serves as the backbone for a selection of Pearson’s newest digital learning curriculums: high school environmental science and chemistry; Realidades, a Spanish language program; myWorld Geography for middle school students; and Idea of America, a high school civics and U.S. history course developed in conjunction with Colonial Williamsburg. Additional Pearson programs will be available via SuccessNet Plus in the coming months.
For students, SuccessNet Plus comes with access to a complete e-textbook along with interactive lessons, skill-building activities, and media-based assignments. Supplemental content, like virtual labs and experiments, educational videos, interactive problem-solving questions, and graphing and mapping tools, is available for students in the system to freely explore additional concepts or get extra practice without being graded.
Also, students can log-in each day to see classroom announcements, a calendar of “to do’s” based on the lessons and assignments chosen by their teachers, and reports about their grades and academic progress to develop student accountability and encourage engagement.
“Because of the digital features and the organized approach to student work, SuccessNet Plus serves as a gateway to dynamic learning opportunities. Within a framework of accountability, the system helps to fosters student exploration and motivation in the learning process,” said Cohen. “This new platform offers all the benefits of a learning management system designed specifically around the needs of K-12 instruction, including these multi-faceted student resources, and helps school districts leverage their curriculum investments by providing administrative time and cost savings in the long haul.”
Understanding the need for teachers to feel comfortable with digital tools offered in a learning management system, Pearson is also providing SuccessNet Plus training options that range from free self-serve tutorials and webinars available on demand, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to in-depth and on-site professional development programs.
