With more than 15 years of experience in the fall protection industry, LJB principal Thom Kramer, P.E., C.S.P., was named president of the International Society for Fall Protection (ISFP). The ISFP is a non-profit organization that works with safety professionals, manufacturers and governmental officials around the world to create and improve access to a full range of fall protection information.
Kramer took over the presidency during a recent board of director’s meeting at the ISFP’s biannual symposium in Baltimore, Md. Kramer replaced Randy Wingfield, president of Gravitec Systems, and commented that Mr. Wingfield has not only stabilized the organization, but has also raised awareness to help the organization grow internationally.
Kramer has been involved with ISFP for more than six years and has committed his entire career to increasing safety and reducing risk for workers at heights. During his presidency, he plans to focus on expanding the international presence of the organization and increasing member collaboration through regular webinars and an online symposium.
