The American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA) is an international non-profit medical society of health care professionals who treat and/or perform research on birth defects of the head and face. The ACPA is unique in that it is a multidisciplinary organization of over 2500 members with members representing more than 30 disciplines in 60 countries. "Joining forces with the American Cleft Palate Association is the next step in our goal of making Dallas/Fort Worth the premier center for repair of cleft lip and cleft palate," says Dr. Obaid. "It helps us share our research, findings, and experiences with the world and also allows us to learn from the experiences seen in other countries."
