Celebrating its first year, Shopster continues to deliver more products and services to its customers

Since its Network launched on June 30, 2009, the Shopster ( team has been hard at work enhancing its distinctive e-Commerce platform. The concept of creating a thriving ecosystem of retailers and suppliers has become reality with further advances that will escalate the business on the horizon.

More than 70,000 members have joined the Network, and have direct access to shared inventory of more than a million products. This virtual warehouse where members can freely share inventory is the focal point of the Network. The unique nature of the method within has provided Shopster the opportunity to apply for a patent.

“How Shopster allows members to share information and resources is what sets us apart from other e-Commerce offerings,” says Sarath Samarasekera, CEO and co-Founder of “We are very proud of the results we have achieved in the first year of the Shopster e-Commerce Network.”

Shopster is growing in many ways. On the technology side, Shopster is building an API to integrate with more third party solutions. On the service side, the company is beefing up its Design Services with the introduction of even more template selection and custom logos for retailers. Additionally, new distribution channels are opening up for suppliers across the globe with Shopster’s Supplier Business Packages.
