UK’s Largest Probate Provider, ITC, offers the best value to bereaved families. ITC fees are 20% less than the average solicitor. No premium for acting as an executor.

ITC, the UK’s largest provider of probate services, today welcomes the findings of the Which? Money magazine investigation of Will-writing and Probate fees.

ITC has long called for clearer pricing in the Probate sector and welcomes the fact that Which? has established clear and impartial price benchmarks for the first time. ITC can confirm that it would charge £4,095 to administer the sample estate used by Which? – a clear saving over all of the professional groups in this survey and over 20% less than the average solicitor’s quote.

The report highlights the role of executors (those appointed to administer the Will) in the probate process. ITC is unique in offering the same competitive pricing and comprehensive service to all customers, whether ITC acts as an executor or not. Furthermore, it commits to renounce an executorship on request, as long as this is allowed by the terms of the Will.

ITC was the first probate provider in the UK to make this commitment to beneficiaries of Wills. This policy offers bereaved families the freedom to choose their probate provider and guarantees all customers competitive and transparent pricing for the service.

ITC’s Chief Executive Martin Trees said:
“This report is exactly what the ITC has been crying out for and highlights the value offered by ITC’s competitive, fixed-fee service.

“We are committed to improving the probate sector, and continue to provide a transparent and first-class service to every client.”
