Ingram Publisher Services Inc., an Ingram Content Group Inc. company, today announced the addition of three new publisher clients: Australian Academic Press, Dark Coast Press, and Pineapple Press.
“As the industry continues to evolve, publishers need a complete integrated portfolio of content solutions to meet market demand,” said Mark Ouimet, Vice President and General Manager, Ingram Publisher Services. “Working with Ingram, our clients can design the right combination of sales, marketing, digital and print-on-demand services, and pair those options with the finest distribution network in the industry – choices that no other single organization in the industry can provide.”
Pineapple Press, founded in 1982, is known for the regional titles published by the Press about Florida, including titles about the state’s history, folklore, art, gardening, nature and travel. Other specialty titles include books on lighthouses, and books on Georgia and the Carolinas.
“We’ve successfully used the print-on-demand services of Ingram’s Lightning Source for some time, helping us minimize inventory risk and improve our fill rate to our customers,” said David Cussen, owner, Pineapple Press. “Adding the services of Ingram Publisher Services was the next logical next step to increase sales of our titles”.
Dark Coast Press was founded in 2009 by former John Wiley Editor, Aaron Talwar, and business partner Jarrett Middleton. Dark Coast is an independent publisher that specializes in Literary Fiction, Poetry, Essay, & Avant-Garde works. Dark Coast Press collaborates with both established authors, and new authors, providing introduction of new works to the book reading community.
"Ingram knows books and they know how to get books on bookshelves. We are a young Literary Fiction publisher. Working together, we will have the ability to make sure books sell off those shelves," stated Aaron Talwar, Publisher of Dark Coast Press.
Australian Academic Press (AAP) is an innovative Brisbane-based publisher founded in 1987 by Stephen May, currently President of the Australian Publishers Association. Australian Academic Press works with the country’s leading academics, researchers, and scholarly and professional societies to publish professional and popular books, e-books, monographs, and print and electronic journals from the behavioral and social sciences.
“We are thrilled to be working with Ingram to allow the many North American readers, researchers and booksellers who currently seek our books to have the convenience to purchase locally. Ingram was the obvious choice for us all the way over here downunder — they have a fantastic reputation for quality service and timely delivery,” said Stephen May, Publisher and Managing Director, Australian Academic Press.
“We are pleased to welcome new customers Pineapple Press, Dark Coast Press and Australian Academic Press to Ingram Publisher Services, and we look forward to long collaborative relationships,” Mr. Ouimet concluded.
