EcoPoint will allow business fuel card users to assist in replenishing the green cover of environment by actively promoting tree plantation over the next 5 years.
(PRWEB) July 1, 2010
The Fuelcard Company has announced the integration of EcoPoint with the business fuel card website, thus enabling business owners to balance the costs of running their fleet and being responsive to the needs for a greener environment. The company’s latest initiative allows fuel card applicants to promote greener driving at less than 2 pence a day.
EcoPoint allows business owners to offset their carbon footprint and helps in growing trees to enhance the green cover. Every EcoPoint package contributes to the ultimate aim of planting 100,000 trees over the next 5 years. The initiative of The Fuelcard Company is supported by the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT), a registered charity that has been planting trees in the Dales since 1996.
Existing fuel card customers can obtain the EcoPoint package by requesting a top-up on their existing fuel card account. This green package costs only 50p a month. New fuel card applicants can request the activation of the EcoPoint package at the time of application for a new fuel card.
Apart from planting trees, the EcoPoint package will also offer advice on greener driving, eco-tips, paperless billing and a quarterly newsletter with a focus on greener driving.
Mr. Anthony Hobbs, Web-Marketing manager said: “Integration of EcoPoint with the business fuel cards website reinforces our commitment to the environment and allows us an opportunity to involve our customers in taking care of the planet. We are thankful to the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust for making this possible.”
