PLS has been named to the list of “Chicago’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For,” compiled by the National Association for Business Resources, for the second consecutive year.

Chicago-based PLS (plsfinancial.com) manages more than 300 financial service centers in Alabama, Arizona, California, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, New York, Texas and Wisconsin.

Being named one of “Chicago’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For,” is a designation that hundreds of companies pursue. This year’s winners proved to be companies that deliver exceptional human resources practices. “The selection, recognition and awarding of this year’s 101 companies allows our organization to showcase their best practices. The honorees have clearly demonstrated why each of them would be an ideal place for employees to work. Companies that capitalize on their greatest resource—their employees—know how to attract and retain top talent,” said Jennifer Kluge, President of NABR.

“PLS is honored and delighted to be named to this prestigious list for the second consecutive year,” said Dan Wolfberg, PLS. “We know that PLS is a great company to work for because our team members are such an important part of what makes our company distinctive. PLS stands for People – Location – Service, and it all starts with people. We hire the best people—and we give our people the tools, training and support to help them do the best job possible.”

An independent research firm evaluates all entries and assesses nominated companies on a number of key measures in categories that include communication, community initiatives, compensation and benefits, diversity and multiculturalism, employee education and development, employee engagement and commitment, recognition and retention, recruitment and selection, and work-life balance.

In all categories, the panels of judges looked for a unique thought process with top support from senior management and policy makers. They sought to identify above-average programs, services and solutions for employees, as well as adaptation to various new factors in the marketplace.

“This honor is especially satisfying because a large part of the judging was based on the answers to surveys distributed to employees,” noted Bob Wolfberg, President, PLS. “We’re very proud that our team members have affirmed that they enjoy working for PLS.

“Dan and I thank all team members—in the all of our stores and at the PLS Support Center—for making PLS a great place to work.”
