New Book from Sogeti Provides Method and Vision for Social Collaboration Platforms

Sogeti, a leading international provider of professional IT services, announced today that it has released a new book on how companies can successfully implement social platforms in their organization.

Web 2.0 and social collaboration platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and MySpace are top of mind within most organizations today in order to increase knowledge sharing and talent, creating what we call the “Intelligent Organization”. With the abiltiy to easily create communities instead of merely functional teams, social collaboration platforms can enable employees to deliver bigger achievements. However, in order to accomplish these results, companies must have a structured approach before, during and after the implementation in order to ensure success.

Sogeti developed a social collaboration methodology to help with this called TeamPark. The TeamPark method is platform independent and consists of phases that can be executed in increments and iterations.

The book TeamPark consists out of two parts that can be read as two separate books. The first part is called “From crowd to community” and describes Sogeti’s vision on Web 2.0 and inspires the reader to enter a new world where we all collaborate in different ways. The second part is called “TeamPark platform and method”. This part describes what Sogeti considers to be a true social platform and the method organizations have to follow to utilize a successful social collaboration platform.
