The National Wildlife Federation will integrate a Mixx Channel into the nwf.org/oilspill website in order to continue sharing news relating to the BP Gulf Oil Spill. Visitors will be able to read and contribute real-time, uncensored commentary of the event through their Twitter and facebook accounts; the "no-spin" commentary will appear live on the NWF Mixx Channel.

"Mixx Channel allows our supporters to not only stay in the know about the latest oil spill news, but also to help by sharing stories, messages and articles concerning the oil spill so that the severity of the issue is taken seriously. With this Mixx Channel, we hope we can disseminate good information, stay on top of progress made in the Gulf, and keep a high demand for media to continue to cover this disaster,” said Danielle Brigida, digital marketing manager, NWF.org.

“Through our relationship with the National Wildlife Federation, it was brought to our attention that there was a need for the NWF.org to be able to provide concerned citizens with the voice of the people through technology,” said Chris McGill, founder/CEO of Mixx. “We are providing white-labeling of our SocialMixx platform, so that the National Wildlife Federation can maintain the integrity of their brand, while educating and informing people about what is really going on there.”

The Mixx Channel will go live on the NWF.org site on July 1, 2010.
