Troy, MI (PRWEB) July 1, 2010
Dimensional Control Systems, Inc. (DCS), provider of dimensional engineering consulting services and software solutions, today announced that Sales Vice President Donald Jasurda will address more than 600 coordinate metrology systems (CMS) professionals at the Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC). The event will be held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada from July 12-16.
Jasurda's presentation is scheduled for 10 a.m. on July 15. He will focus on "The Correlation of As-Built Products to As-Designed Models: Closing the Digital Loop on Dimensional Measurement Results to Simulation Predictions." Specifically, he will discuss how the correlation of theoretical tolerance analysis results produced during engineering simulation to actual as-built results can help manufacturers validate or adjust their as-designed simulation parameters to more closely align with production process capabilities.
The biennial CMSC brings together coordinate metrology systems (CMS) professionals from around the globe to share knowledge of the latest innovations in the field of portable 3D industrial measurement technologies. Attendees represent aerospace, defense, automotive and other manufacturing industries.
"I'm pleased to address this group of CMS experts," said Jasurda. "As manufacturers continually face tighter and tighter program cycles and budgets, finding ways to reuse existing and proven manufacturing process elements on new and re-design programs is becoming a competitive necessity. I hope to help CMS professionals gain knowledge on how to validate, capture and reuse their best practices on future programs, for both engineering simulation and manufacturing.
