San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) July 6, 2010
Hot Shot Media is excited to announce the Top 20 Photo Finalists in the Snapshot Scholar Photo Contest.
Between May 28 and July 1, students and alumni from Stanford University and the University of the California—Berkeley submitted their best photos to Snapshot Scholar. Students competed against each other to win a $5,000 scholarship plus a $2,000 department scholarship while alumni competed to win a $7,000 endowment in their name.
The five-week contest on Snapshot Scholar allowed contestants to submit their best photos and vote on others’ photos. Each week, the photos with the most votes moved onto the next round. After the fifth round, the top twenty photos will be presented to the judges who will decide the winner.
A five-member panel will judge Snapshot Scholar. Three of the judges are professionals from the technology industry who have a passion for photographs. Two of the judges are students from local art schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. Louie Greaves, a Masters of Fine Arts student, represents the Academy of Art University. Clay Brown, a Bachelor of Science in Media Art & Animation student, represents the Art Institute of California—San Francisco.
