For Wren, it was time for the long flight home to Canada after a winter in the sunny south. Luckily, he meets Missy the lady wren, and together they make their way home to Fenelon Falls, Ontario. There they fell in love and began their adventure of finding a home for their future family. After a series of misadventures, they find the perfect home and begin the real work of raising a family of five baby wrens.

That's the storyline of a charming new children's book entitled Wren in Searching for a Home, written by Lorane Churchward and lovingly illustrated by Dave Beverley. This 20-page book for young children is perfect for a Mom or Dad who enjoy reading to their youngsters at bedtime. The story is a lovely one, a delightful tale that will enchant youngsters – and perhaps even help to instill in them a sense of respect and wonder for the natural world and the animals who share our planet.

As author Churchward notes: "I was inspired to write this story when awakened one morning by a pair of wrens singing outside my bedroom window. They were building a nest in our pine tree. I started thinking about where they had been this past winter and the story just unfolded."

Dave Beverley and his wife Charlene live in a small town north of Toronto. They have two grandchildren.
