The weight loss results were twice the amount achieved on traditional diet and behavioral programs.
Concord, CA (PRWEB) July 5, 2010
After conducting a 7 year study with over 1,853 adults, it was determined that New Lifestyle Diet clients achieved twice the weight loss compared to other diet programs - the average weight loss was 22.3 pounds compared to 9 pounds on traditional diet and behavior modification programs.
"When you combine behavior modification with the use of high quality diet shakes and meal replacements, the results far exceed what most people accomplish with traditional diet and behavior programs," said Matthew Johnson, PhDc, of the Exercise and Physiology and Metabolism Laboratory of California Berkeley.
The average age of the participants in the study was 40 years and was made up of 92% females and 8% males.
According to Johnson, "The weight loss results were twice the amount achieved on traditional diet and behavioral programs. Additionally, the study showed the level of success that people can achieve when they go on a diet program that not only focuses on weight loss, but also the reasons behind their eating."
