2010 looks set to be another record year, with four new categories added to reflect the growing importance of online and social media, as well as the explosion of mobile commerce into the marketplace. Showcasing an array of talent is no tall order, and expectations and standards are high.
Award nominations opened online at the end of last month, using digital research specialists, eDigitalResearch, to provide the interactive online survey platform. Hopeful entrants will be required to select from one of sixteen categories before entering their company details. They then need to impress the judges by entering customer recommendations and appraisals, before explaining why they deserve to win the accolade. The survey can even host a range of supporting documents, allowing candidates to add some extra panache to their entry.
eDigitalResearch have been benchmarking and documenting the online market place for over ten years now, giving Director Michelle Fuller, a wealth of experience, expertise and insight to call upon when judging begins. “eCommerce is a growing industry, and we’re beginning to see an abundance of talent and hard work that deserves to be acknowledged. The dominance of social media over the past year, along with many other influences, will make judging this year’s awards a complex, yet exciting experience.”
Nominations are open until September, but with dozens of exciting and inventive entries already in, this year’s event looks set to be bigger and better than before. Award winners will be announced during the eCommerce exhibition in London held later in the year, with support from industry press and ecommerce specialists.
