Accreditation is a major milestone in the company’s quarter century as an educational provider, offering parents and teachers further evidence of the outstanding academic merit of our programs
Vienna, VA (PRWEB) July 8, 2010
After an intensive review process, AdvancED has approved Envision EMI, LLC as an accredited distance learning provider. The accreditation encompasses all of the Virginia-based company’s leadership development and life success skills programs.
“Accreditation from AdvancED acknowledges the educational excellence of our programs, as well as our continuous commitment to make them better,” said Dr. Linda McGarvey, chief academic officer at Envision EMI, LLC.
She called accreditation a “major milestone in the company’s quarter century as an educational provider, offering parents and teachers further evidence of the outstanding academic merit of our programs.”
Accreditation is a voluntary method of quality assurance developed more than 100 years ago by American universities and secondary schools. To earn accreditation, an educational organization must meet AdvancED’s seven quality standards, engage in continuous improvement, and demonstrate quality assurance through internal and external review.
McGarvey said AdvancED’s quality assurance review team, comprised of three experienced educators from around the country, recognized Envision’s passionate personnel, focus on transparency and outstanding educational resources. She said the review team’s report also indicated ways the company could improve. AdvancED conducts approximately 3,500 on-site quality assurance reviews annually.
“Every Envisionary is committed to improving student learning and enhancing the leadership and life success skills of each student who participates in our programs,” McGarvey said. “We are honored to receive AdavncED’s accreditation; it validates the caring, passion and hard work I see from our team every single day,” she said.
AdvancED is the parent organization for the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), both of which were formed in 1895, and the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA). The vision of AdvancED is to advance excellence in education worldwide so that every student is prepared for success in an ever-changing and diverse world.
