The quality of the craftsman led to a huge popularity among the attendees and the Festival has now grown into a signature events renowned in the state of Iowa and throughout the entire Midwest. Volunteers run the event entirely, with a shared goal of making fine art readily available to the public.
Live entertainment is provided to attendees. Musical groups perform on stage as festival goers wander through the artist’s exhibits. A hands-on creative activity for children is sponsored by the Hearst Center for the Arts. Children will also find a Young Art Collectors Gallery featuring original artwork created by exhibiting artists with prices of $10 or less, encouraging children to make their own independent art choices. A variety of food vendors will be at the Festival with picnic tables located nearby. Just enter through their trademark balloon arches, and then enjoy the art and festivities.
