Complex litigation boutique Fernelius Alvarez PLLC announces the launch of its new web site and illustrates how a smaller law firm can be nimble and responsive while simultaneously offering outstanding client service.

We’re battle-tested through hundreds of hours in the courtroom, and we’re ready to serve.

Fernelius Alvarez PLLC has announced the launch of its new web site, http://www.fa-lawfirm.com, which illustrates how a smaller law firm can be nimble and responsive while simultaneously offering outstanding client service.

According to Steve Fernelius, managing partner at Fernelius Alvarez, colleagues have repeatedly asked why he and longtime colleague Graig Alvarez left the litigation powerhouse of Fulbright & Jaworski LLP to start a new law firm after already establishing highly successful careers in ”bet the company” tort and complex commercial litigation.

“We think highly of our colleagues at large firms and partner with them on occasion to service clients,” said Fernelius. “But for us, the development of Fernelius Alvarez was about offering the highest level of client service without the bureaucracy sometimes associated with bigger firms. In an economy where in-house lawyers are receiving ever-growing pressures to handle legal matters in a high quality, economical manner, we can react quickly and provide outstanding representation in litigated matters, all at a lower cost than a huge firm with a great deal of overhead. We can also offer alternative billing options beyond the standard hourly rate, which our clients appreciate.”

Another advantage relates to the diversity of clientele Fernelius Alvarez can attract. From the firm’s inception through today, the firm has represented some of the largest companies in the world on complex, high-stakes litigation. Based on the economic flexibility associated with lower overhead, however, Fernelius Alvarez has been able to expand its client base to a number of companies and matters that would not warrant the involvement of a large firm.

Attorneys Steve Fernelius, Graig Alvarez, Joel Simon, John Daspit and Sam Haren comprise Fernelius Alvarez, and work on a wide variety of client matters including catastrophic incident, commercial, energy, environmental and products liability litigation as well as e-discovery and litigation management.

“Another thing about having our own firm,” said Fernelius, “is that it’s downright exciting. We’re battle-tested through hundreds of hours in the courtroom, and we’re ready to serve. We’re here for the long haul.”
