Being selected a top workplace is really about celebrating our employees and the hard work they do to deliver superior service to our customers
Hudson, Ohio (PRWEB) July 7, 2010
Lexi-Comp, a leading provider of unbiased and current point-of-care drug information to the healthcare industry, announced today that it was selected as one of Northeast Ohio's best places to work in 2010 by the Plain Dealer.
The selection process is based on a study conducted by independent workplace consultant WorkplaceDynamics to choose Northeast Ohio's top workplaces based solely on their employee's opinions. Companies with 50 employees or more from 11 counties were eligible to participate. A total of 129 companies choose to partake, allowing WorkplaceDynamics to survey their workforce. The top 75 companies received awards in three categories based on number of employees. Lexi-Comp received recognition as a top "small" workplace with 124 employees.
"We are delighted that our employees showed an amazing level of appreciation through this award," said Eric Crescimano, Lexi-Comp legal and human resources manager. "Our employees are the most important asset contributing to the success of this company. People create our products, drive innovation and create positive revenue. We want to make certain those people are happy and well supported in the workplace."
Lexi-Comp puts great effort into the constant evaluation of the employee-facing aspects of its environment and culture, allowing the organization to do more than simply offer medical and dental benefits. Some of the benefits Lexi-Comp offers employees include: a sick leave policy that allows employees to take all the time necessary to ensure a healthy family; employee-focused events each quarter that provide a day off for fun; a strong focus on health and wellness through an on-site fitness facility and wellness activities; and a summer golf league. And to help offset expensive tuition costs, every employee with a child in college is eligible to receive a scholarship for each of the four years the child is in school.
"Being selected a top workplace is really about celebrating our employees and the hard work they do to deliver superior service to our customers," said Steven Kerscher, Lexi-Comp president and chief operating officer. "I'm humbled to know that our employees think Lexi-Comp is one of Northeast Ohio's best places to work."
