With the Release of Their Newest Single, San Diego-Based Alterna-Pop Rockers, Sound of Surrender, Are Doing Anything But…

We're very excited about our first single release with Legendary Media Group. They're a great label, and there are lots of benefits to working with them...we look forward to a long future with the label.

Legendary Media Group Inc. ("LMG"; http://www.legendarymediagroup.com) has officially announced that on July 13, 2010, San Diego-based power pop, alternative rock band, Sound of Surrender (http://www.soundofsurrender.com), will digitally release their newest single, "Kiss Me", for worldwide distribution. This new single is the first recording to follow the band's 2008 release of their EP, "The Long Road Home".

Legendary Media Group, a recently launched, Los Angeles-based record label - which is backed by Bungalo Records / Universal Music Group and Asian market distribution channels - counts Sound of Surrender among one of its newest artists, which encompass rock, hip-hop, pop and R&B genres.

Sound of Surrender is comprised of France Florence (vocals), Nick Rawlings (guitar), George Legner (guitar), Jason Bernstein (drums) and Jarrod Delong (bass). The band unleashes a unique mix of rock and power-pop, with catchy hooks and relevant verses. Their sound has been described as "up-beat rock n' roll with pop-like chord progressions, mixed with a dash of metal", and the band's vocals have been referred to as having "limitless range".

In 2006, Sound of Surrender was featured in Synthesis Magazine as one of their top 16 unsigned bands. The band garnered radio play on San Diego's hit station Rock 105.3, as well as FM94/9 and 91x, and since Sound of Surrender played the 'Ernie Ball Vans Warped Tour Battle of the Bands' stage in 2006, the band's popularity has taken on a life of its own. The band's 2006 Warped Tour appearance was followed by another Warped Tour appearance in 2008, which generated a buzz large enough for them to be recognized by both independent and major labels, and earlier this year, Sound of Surrender inked their deal with Legendary Media Group.

Sound of Surrender has shared the stage with other artists and bands such as: Story of the Year, Gym Class Heroes, Bless the Fall, Forever the Sickest Kids, My American Heart, A Change of Pace, Cartel, Living Legends, Four Letter Lie, Adair, We Are The Fury, Throwdown, Lower Definition, The Material, The Audition, Between The Trees, Panima, and Protest The Hero.

"We're very excited about our first single release with Legendary Media Group. They're a great label, and there are lots of benefits to working with them…we look forward to a long future with the label," says Sound of Surrender guitarist, Nick Rawlings.

Sound of Surrender has spent most of this year recording new music, and will be playing numerous shows in Southern California in the coming months, including a recent July 2 show at Epicentre in San Diego, and an upcoming July 11 performance at the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana, as part of the Animal Planet's "Pit Bulls & Parolees" Benefit Show.

Sound of Surrender's music is currently available for download from their web site (http://www.soundofsurrender.com), iTunes, as well as other sources.
