Catapult Technology, Ltd. (Catapult), a leading Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVO) Information Technology (IT) contractor to the federal government, announces that Joe Sanchez has joined the company as Business Development Director.
In this capacity, Joe Sanchez will be responsible for identifying information technology infrastructure and management consulting services opportunities within federal government agencies. His duties will span the capture management process from opportunity identification to proposal development to contract award.
Additionally, Sanchez will define and implement a strategy for contract development and closure and will establish business relationships with teaming partners as part of the capture strategy.
“Joe’s prior experience shows a demonstrated ability to grow revenue,” said David Lyons, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of the Technology and Management Solutions division at Catapult. “He brings to Catapult an ability to show quantifiable results from his marketing and sales efforts as well as an ability to ‘connect the dots’ to help federal agencies solve their business and IT challenges.”

Sanchez brings more than 16 years of diverse professional services experience to his new role at Catapult having served in consulting, project management, account management, and business development positions at a number of companies, including IBM. As an Account Manager at IBM, he helped U.S. and international clients address challenges associated with analytics, asset management, business process improvement, IT capital planning and investment control (CPIC), change management, communications, enterprise architecture, financial and IT modernization, governance, human resource (HR) shared services, identity management, performance management, and strategic planning.
Sanchez has also worked at Idea Integration, Booz Allen & Hamilton Inc., GPS Technologies, Inc., and was a U.S. Army officer.
He holds a B.S. in General Engineering from the United States Military Academy.
Sanchez reports to David Lyons, Catapult’s Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President, Technology and Management Solutions.
