The Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC), has named Gail Marcus, MS, MBA, CPA to its 2010-2011 Board of Commissioners. She will serve a four-year, re-electable term.
Marcus is a senior executive with over 25 years experience managing and growing domestic and international health care businesses. She is currently employed as a Health Care Partner/Segment Leader for the New England Office of Tatum LLC. In this role, she focuses on service re-design to support health care organizations’ strategic priorities. Additionally, Marcus is an adjunct professor in Health Care Management at the University of Connecticut, with curricula including an emphasis on case management.
Marcus, herself a breast cancer survivor, is a former CFO for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, where she was responsible for all financial matters of the organization. She was also President and CEO of Caris Diagnostic. Prior to this position, Marcus served as COO for UnitedHealth Europe, based in London and SVP at Advance PCS Pharmacy Benefits Management, where she led the post-merger integration with Caremark. She also spent over 20 years at CIGNA HealthCare in various financial, product, operations and strategy roles. She first became involved in managing case management programs, focusing on quality and financial outcomes, during her CIGNA tenure – and in all of her subsequent positions, case management services fell directly or indirectly within the scope of Marcus’s responsibilities.

Marcus received an MS in Information Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School.
