Our firm is one of only a handful of international litigation firms that offers a conflict-free platform for litigation and advocacy through an integrated team of English solicitors, barristers and U.S.-qualified lawyers

Kobre & Kim LLP is one of the first firms composed of English barristers, solicitors, and U.S.-qualified lawyers to be licensed in the United Kingdom under the new rules governing the legal profession that came into effect recently.

Recent changes to the rules governing the English legal profession now allow for barristers to become partners in law firms without having to re-qualify as solicitors, and for U.S.-qualified lawyers, English solicitors, and English barristers to work as partners in the same legal entity.

“Our firm is one of only a handful of international litigation firms that offers a conflict-free platform for litigation and advocacy through an integrated team of English solicitors, barristers and U.S.-qualified lawyers” said James Corbett QC, a Partner in the London office.

The firm has five partners resident in its London office, including three U.K.-qualified partners and two U.S.-qualified partners. Kobre & Kim LLP focuses on civil and commercial litigation in England, the Caribbean and several other leading offshore jurisdictions as well as international arbitrations. The firm specializes in litigation against banks, futures intermediaries, investment companies, and professional firms on behalf of institutional clients.
