The Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC), has named Patricia “Patty” Jones, BSN, MBA to its 2010-2011 Board of Commissioners. She will serve a four-year, re-electable term.
Jones recently joined Seattle-based Milliman Inc. as a health care management consultant providing health care strategy, operations and analytic consulting services. While applying and interviewing for the Commissioner position, she was serving as the Director of Health Care Services Strategy at Regence Blue Cross and Blue Shield, where she was involved in medical home pilot design, implementation and measurement; health technology, information and analytic strategy, design and implementation; medical and behavioral health care management programs (UM, CM, DM); and wellness.
Prior to joining Regence, Jones was with Milliman’s, Operations and Technology Practice, providing strategy, technology and operations consulting to health care organizations, including business and strategy planning, systems selection and integration, operational assessments and improvement, and compliance consulting. Jones has also owned and operated her own successful health care consulting company, and held senior management positions with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of the National Capital Area, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.

Jones received her BSN from Purdue University, and earned an MBA from Boston University. She has served on many advisory committees, including NCQA, URAC, DMAA, CMSA and AHIP, and is currently a member of URAC’s National Standards Committee, and an NCQA Surveyor.
The Commission for Case Manager Certification is the first and largest nationally accredited organization that certifies case managers.
