Boston, MA (PRWEB) July 13, 2010
AVFX, an audio visual staging company, has named Steven Halling president with primary responsibilities over client services, marketing, and business development. Murray Lapides, current president and founder, will continue to lead the company with the title of CEO.
Steven previously worked at AVFX and left in 1995 to become an executive producer at Lotus Development. He has more than 20 years of marketing experience working in a broad range of companies, from small agencies to large enterprises. Most recently, he was the director of brand strategy for IBM's Lotus, Workplace and Portal software business. In this role, he led cross-functional teams from throughout IBM in the development and execution of strategic brand and product positioning programs. Steven also served as president of the Boston chapter of the American Marketing Association from 2006-2008.
“We’re extremely happy to have Steve back at AVFX,” said Murray Lapides, CEO. “When Steve started at AVFX, he brought production house experience from his days at Donna Lawrence & Envision. With his return, we expect to utilize his extensive corporate experience.
“I see this as a positive development for our existing client base,” continued Lapides. “We now have someone in a senior position that’s been on the inside for many years and knows the procurement process along with the ins and outs of corporate America.”
“My initial order of business will be to reach out to our existing client base,” Steven said. “AVFX has always had an excellent reputation in the industry for innovation and quality service. It was that reputation that made returning an easy decision. My long term goal will be to leverage our existing capabilities to a broader range of clients.”
