Avalon Microelectronics, a leading developer of IP for optical transport networks (OTN) today announced the development of a 100G GMP adaptation application to interface with AppliedMicro’s Yahara 10G Framer/Mapper/PHY device.

Yahara 10G Framer/Mapper/PHY device maps any 10G client to a generic pODTU-24 frame at a common clock rate for efficient implementation of 100G Muxponder application. The 100G GMP adaptation approach translates information mapped to Yahara’s pODTU-24 proprietary format into standard GMP mapping. The application interfaces with multiple Yahara devices to map 10G clients to a 100G line rate.
