Empire Education Group announced the opening and acquisition of six new schools, marking 98 locations in 20 states and adding to the company’s already impressive growth. As the largest provider of cosmetology education in the country, Empire Education Group also celebrated the integration of eco-conscious features in one of the newly opened schools.
The Pineville Empire Beauty School, located in Charlotte, North Carolina, offers custom-designed features inside and outside of the school. From exterior LED lighting fixtures to the 100% recyclable floors, the Pineville hair school also boasts energy saving devices in the student salon area such as water reduction shampoo sinks. Other energy saving aspects of the beauty school include green paint products, energy star rated heating, ventilation and air conditioning units, and additional energy reducing hand washing faucets, motion sensing light controls and more. The school also offers an eco-friendly professional product line, Regis Designline PURE Results. Empire Education Group continues to dedicate its efforts to being eco-conscious, as other newly built schools will follow suit and offer the similar environmentally sensitive designs and features.
Empire Education Group also opened additional schools in Paramus, New Jersey, West Palm Beach, Florida and Speedway, Indiana. The newly opened schools feature elegant custom-built student salons with salon-grade professional equipment, professional products and high-end tools for students to use throughout their education. The three schools have already incorporated visual teaching aides such as Whiteboard and Nxtbook technologies—which offer a visually dynamic approach to learning. As with other Empire Education Group schools, these new locations will also feature the company’s exclusive Certified Learning in Cosmetology (CLiC) curriculum, offering students a comprehensive cosmetology program. In addition to learning the beauty trade with a hands-on approach using life-like mannequins and professional tools, the curriculum also encompasses marketing and business programs to provide students the necessary skills to help propel their careers into other aspects of the beauty industry such as management, ownership, retail beauty sales, and more.
Empire Education Group is also pleased to introduce the company’s curriculum and added benefits to the newly acquired Northern Westchester School of Hairdressing and Cosmetology, located in Peekskill, New York, and the International Academy Salon in Cincinnati, Ohio. The new additions to the Empire network will also adapt the CLiC curriculum into the cosmetology programs offered at the schools, as well as Empire’s philanthropic Empire Gives Back program—dedicated to the fight against domestic abuse. Through the programs multi-platform initiatives and partnership with CUT IT OUT, students will receive training and education in identifying the signs of domestic abuse in their salon clients, as well as participate in fundraising efforts to aid their hands-on and real-world salon training and aid local women and children’s shelters across the country. “We are committed to bringing our charitable spirit, our dedication to supporting our local communities and our active engagement in anti-domestic violence causes,” stated Franklin K. Schoeneman, chairman and CEO of Empire Education Group.
Empire Education Group schools have access to Empire’s industry affiliates for potential employment opportunities as the company offers students and alumni career placement assistance nationwide through such organizations as the Regis Corporation’s nearly 10,000 salons across the country. Other educational advantages of Empire Education Group schools includes Empire’s alumni association, community outreach programs and advanced educational opportunities for specialized training in Teacher of Cosmetology, Esthetics and Nail Technology at any Empire Education Group in the nation. “We are thrilled about these new additions to our growing Empire Education Group family,” added Schoeneman.
Empire Education Group students have the opportunity to participate and attend Empire’s Future Professionals Expo, one of the largest and nationally renowned student styling competitions and tradeshow events in North America. Attendees have access to the latest trends and products from the numerous beauty vendors and manufacturers on the tradeshow floor such as Goldwell, Repêchage, and Creative Nail Design, intimate workshops and classes led by industry professionals featuring new skills and techniques, on-the-spot interviews with hiring salons at the event’s Network Café, and various student competitions for hairstyling, cutting, coloring and braiding, makeup artistry and nail artistry. Competitors can win educational opportunities to shadow industry professionals, attend advanced educational programs and workshops, and receive the latest high-end professional tools and products. Empire’s Future Professionals Expo also treats students to special guest presentations from industry icons like Nick Arrojo and his team of stylists. Celebrity guests and guest judges are also on hand to mingle with students, offer inspiration and their own success stories to Empire’s future beauty professionals.
All the new Empire Beauty School locations and newly acquired school are fully accredited through the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences, Inc. (NACCAS), licensed in their respective states and eligible by the U.S. Department of Education for participation in the Title IV Financial Aid programs.
