The partnership between the two digital rich media companies was in response to client requests to distribute EXPO’s videos be on SellPoint’s turnkey syndication platform. Seagate FreeAgent Theatre+ is one of the first manufacturers to participate in the program, utilizing EXPO videos on the “What Owners Say” tab on this product tour. The tour is distributed to retailers including Staples here.

The partnership with EXPO represents a strategic evolution to be able to integrate incremental third party content into the platform on a turn-key basis, while maintaining both creative and technical integrity over the integration.
Although the partnership was initiated at the behest of manufacturers who happened to work with both SellPoint and EXPO, the companies are now finding that retailers who are exposed to the content are requesting that it be included in integrations.
Manufacturers need to have a relationship with both EXPO and SellPoint to be able to take advantage of the program, but Hildebolt says that the two companies are committed to simplifying that process as much as possible, “In evaluating each other, we discovered that in both cases our services can be a little intimidating to new clients, but customer satisfaction is extremely high. So, we’re both motivated to find ways to get the barriers to entry down as far as possible.”
