Sentrigo, Inc. the innovator in database security software, today announced that its Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Slavik Markovich, will present during the McAfee: Hacking Exposed Live! Webcast on Thursday, July 22th at 11:00am PT. Markovich will join Stuart McClure, Senior Vice President and General Manager of McAfee’s Risk and Compliance Business Unit and co-author of ‘Hacking Exposed,’ for the interactive discussion on the current state of database security, including known and unknown vulnerabilities, insider/outsider threat vectors and other factors affecting an organization’s ability to protect sensitive data.

During the Webcast, Markovich, an authority on database security, will play the role of a malicious insider utilizing techniques that might be used when attempting to gain access to an organization’s sensitive data. During the live demonstration, Markovich will identify vulnerable points on the network and leverage physical access to a database server to circumvent or breach common defenses. He will also conduct real-world demonstrations of various hacks and provide attendees with advice and recommendations on potential solutions to avoid a costly breach.

“The reality is that with some basic system knowledge, a little ingenuity, and a company ID, a hacker you’ve inadvertently hired as a contractor could easily overcome a lack of privileged credentials and gain access to your databases,” said Slavik Markovich, CTO of Sentrigo. “The key objective for participating in this Webcast is to provide attendees with essential knowledge and techniques for how hackers exploit databases and what can be done to protect your business critical information. As a McAfee SIA partner, we are thrilled with having the opportunity to support this Webinar series and share our expertise with this knowledgeable audience.”
