expressor software, the leader in semantic data integration, announced today that its results for Q2 2010 included significant year-over-year and sequential growth based on increasing success for its affordable, enterprise-class data integration software.
“The second quarter was the largest in expressor’s history, as we experienced significant quarter-over-quarter growth, exponential year-over-year growth and added customers in the retail, healthcare informatics and software markets,” said Bob Potter, CEO and co-founder, expressor software. “With the release of expressor 2.3 in the second quarter, customer feedback proved that our affordable data integration solution is competitive with the best high-end, enterprise-class solutions in the market.”
“I am very pleased to report that expressor achieved another quarter of great financial execution in Q2, including closing our largest sales transaction to date,” added Melinda Smith, CFO, expressor software. “Securing additional funding from expressor’s existing investors in Q2 was a tremendous vote of confidence in our company and will fuel the programs designed to maximize the success of expressor 3.0 and meet our financial objectives for the full year.”
In Q2, expressor secured $4.5 million in funding from its existing investors, Commonwealth Capital Ventures, Globespan Capital Partners and Sigma Partners, to fuel further growth and company expansion by:
- extending its sales and marketing reach into mid-market accounts, with a focus on healthcare informatics,
- completing the development of expressor 3.0,
- building a growing user community, and
- expanding its partner network to support the company’s low-touch business model.

expressor signed several license transactions in Q2, including new contracts with Skechers, LabVantage and additional organizations, as well as a repeat order from Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, which became an expressor customer in Q1 2010.

During Q2, the company sponsored the Netezza Enzee Universe User Conference 2010, where expressor highlighted its intelligent load & go solution that is enabling organizations such as STi Prepaid to choose the data warehouse architecture most appropriate for their specific applications.
The company also hosted webinars with new partners Attunity on agile data warehousing, Novedea on why SSIS users are choosing expressor and Meta Analytix on healthcare informatics.
In April, expressor announced version 2.2 of the expressor semantic data integration system, which featured enhanced semantic rationalization and team development capabilities, additional database connectivity and expanded Microsoft platform support.
In June, expressor announced version 2.3 of expressor, which included new “data windowing” functionality for enhanced real-time data control and connectivity and included certified support for Netezza NPS 5.0 and bi-directional connectivity with Netezza via ODBC.
The company also launched the expressor 3.0 pre-release program in Q2, enabling users to provide feedback on the next major version of the expressor semantic data integration system. expressor 3.0 will ship by the end of 2010 and feature an enhanced graphical user interface based on a .Net framework, enhancements to its smart semantics capabilities and a downloadable version.
