30 of Orange County’s best restaurants and private screening of Leonardo DiCaprio's new film, Inception, raise funds in annual summer event for Hoag Cancer Center

More than 30 of Orange County’s finest restaurants will take over the parking lot of Edwards Big Newport Theatre for the annual Hoag Movie Night (http://www.hoagmoviescreening.org) starting at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2010. This annual tradition, sponsored by the Hoag Hospital Foundation’s 552 Club, Edwards Theatres and Regal Entertainment features a private screening of Inception starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

After dinner and jazz, Dileep Rao, one of the cast members of Inception, will talk about his experience working on one of this summer’s most anticipated films and draw the winners of the raffle prizes.

Tickets start at $100 per person. All attendees have the opportunity to enter the grand prize raffle for a four-night stay in an ocean-view suite at the Four Seasons Resort Lana’i at Manele Bay (http://www.fourseasons.com/manelebay/) valued at $10,000. Raffle tickets are $20 or six for $100.

Since the Hoag Movie Night began in 1988, it has raised more than $1.4 million for the nationally-ranked Hoag Cancer Center.

About the Hoag Cancer Center

With an overall five-year relative survival rate that exceeds the national figure by a full 10 percent, Hoag Cancer Center has built a solid reputation as a leading cancer care and treatment center. Perhaps that’s why more than 2,500 newly diagnosed patients seek treatment at Hoag Cancer Center in Newport Beach each year, making it the largest volume provider in Orange County.

The continued upswing in survival rates at Hoag is a reflection of the increasingly sophisticated treatment options and technologies that are used – often in combination – at the cancer center. With its expert medical staff and continual focus on state-of-the-art, patient-centered care, Hoag Cancer Center is winning the war against cancer – one patient at a time.
