Urban Design Group Senior Associates Richardson and Park Invited as Guest Speakers at ITT Technical Institute

ITT Technical Institute invited architects from Urban Design Group to speak with students about Architectural Trends and the Evolving Role of the Architect on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. William J. Richardson, AIA, and Lynnette Park, AIA, both Senior Associates with Urban Design Group will make the presentation.

Two Senior Associates with Urban Design Group will present a lecture on Tuesday, July 20 to students at ITT Technical Institute in Richardson, TX on the evolving role of the architect and trends in the architectural industry. William J. Richardson, AIA, and Lynnette Park, AIA, will share with the students their experience in the industry, how they grew in the profession, project examples from the firm's portfolio and their impressions on emerging technologies and trends impacting the architectural industry.

"We are delighted to share our experience and insights with the students," said Richardson. "As a firm, we feel it is important to help motivate future designers and architects. We enjoy meeting tomorrow's leaders and hearing their questions."

Richardson is the Studio Director in the Dallas office. He has over 30 years of experience in a wide range of architectural projects. A member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Richardson chaired the joint national committee of the AIA and Boy Scouts of America to revise and update the Architecture Merit Badge. In addition to involvement in several other community organizations, including the City of Mesquite, Richardson has continually dedicated his time to the Boy Scouts of America, serving as a Scoutmaster, Adult Leader and advisor.

Park is a Senior Project Manager in the Dallas studio. She brings many years of experience to the firm and ensures that clients, designers and contractors are all informed of project requirements and progress. Throughout her career, she has managed projects for hotels and resorts, community spaces, retail and mixed-use, institutional and recreational designs. Outside of the office, Park dedicates her free time to local Boy Scout Troop 1001.
