Washington, DC (Vocus) July 15, 2010
The Construction Defect Center has been designed to become the best homeowners resource for defective construction products or workmanship in the United States. Too many US homeowners are currently stuck in a new home that is poorly made or has numerous defective construction products, with no place to turn. The Construction Defect Center says, "we intend to change this no place to turn issue, by helping homeowners suffering because of inferior construction products or appliances and/or poor workmanship. Our emphasis will be on subdivisions or condominium complexes in every state." The group says, "as an example, we just learned about a US dishwasher recall involving perhaps up to 200,000 high end dishwashers. These machines cost $1000 new--the worry is they can catch on fire--the manufacturer is offering a $150 rebate? We say baloney--so this will become one of our newest initiatives." The Construction Defect Center will also focus on building envelope and/or water intrusion issues, because the group says, "it's wrong to constantly leave the US homeowner holding the bag if you are a major US homebuilder or developer." For more information homeowners can call the Construction Defect Center at 866-714-6466, or contact the group via its web site at Http://ConstructionDefectCenter.Com.
According to the Construction Defect Center, "on July 13th 2010 Senate Majority leader Harry Reid made an astonishingly stupid remark about all the homes in Nevada were built by documented workers. Nothing could be further from the truth, and even worse, for the most part the homebuilders and the undocumented workers failed to pay federal taxes." The group says, "most of these workers are long gone, the builders in many cases are BK, and the innocent homeowners feel helpless. We intend to change this. Ever hear of insurance?"
