ReadyFUND$™ Card receives very high marks from Cardholders

Performance Benefits Inc. today released payroll card survey results for the ReadyFUND$ Premier Access Prepaid MasterCard®. The ReadyFUND$ Premier Access Prepaid MasterCard features the eZsuite™ of financial services which provides employees with direct deposit of their payroll and a comprehensive suite of financial services designed specifically to meet their needs.

Survey highlights include:

  •     85% of ReadyFUND$ cardholders said that they would definitely recommend the card to a friend or family member
  •     80% enjoy the benefits of being able get cash from ATM’s and shop anywhere Debit MasterCard is accepted
  •     77% of ReadyFUND$ cardholders said it’s more convenient than picking up a check while 55% appreciate the financial benefit of not having to pay a fee to cash their check
  •     Nearly 50% said they feel more secure by not having to carrying as much cash and an equal number indicated it helps them keep track of their spending and better budget their money

“The survey results indicate a very high level of satisfaction by ReadyFUND$ cardholders and we are very pleased with their feedback” said Tim Birk, President and CEO of Performance Benefits, Inc. According to the FDIC National Survey of Unbanked and Underbanked Households published in December 2009, there are 60 million adults in the US which have no bank account or very limited access to banking services. The Center for Financial Services Innovation conducted a similar survey in 2008 indicating this number was in excess of 100 million people. “While unbanked and underbanked individuals have developed methods to compensate for their lack of access to traditional financial services, they face daily routine challenges that are time consuming, personally sensitive and costly to overcome” said Birk. “Furthermore, with the many changes recently adopted or under consideration affecting the financial services industry, it is likely more and more people will need alternatives and the ReadyFUND$ card and eZsuite of financial services is a great option for them.”
