DMC Atlanta, a leading face-to-face sales and marketing business, announced that the company recently participated in their favorite charity event, the 2010Atlanta Pet Parade at Piedmont Park, and contributed a total of $2,000 through employee and solicited donations.
The Atlanta Pet Parade is the single largest fundraiser for the Atlanta Humane Society. This year, the event raised a total of $126,000, with all proceeds going directly to help with the shelter’s homeless animals. In addition to raising $2000, several DMC Atlanta employees and their pets attended the parade. This is the second year that DMC Atlanta has been involved with the cause.
“I think it’s important to not only raise money for the charity, but to also come out and show support,” said DMC Atlanta President Adam Dorfman.“It’s an organization that’s important to me and the team members at DMC Atlanta – we were overjoyed to have the opportunity to participate again.”
In addition to the pet parade, DMC Atlanta was also a corporate sponsor for the Songs for Kids Foundation’s “500 Songs for Kids.” They also recently partnered with LifeSouth Blood Centers to provide ongoing blood donations to the organization.
“We’re proud of the work we’ve done for the Atlanta Humane Society and are looking forward to making an even bigger donation next year,” President Adam Dorfman said. “Community involvement is very important to all of us.”
