Securing medical records using Mobius DHRRMS has taken EMR data transfer to a new, higher, security level.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin (PRWEB) July 19, 2010
MedPATH Secure Networks, Inc., the leading innovative healthcare network provider, today announced that the company has completed a joint marketing agreement with Mobius DHRRMS (distributed health record rights management system) software creator, First Genesis Inc., Sugar Land, TX. The joint effort revolutionizes the way medical data is stored, transported, authenticated and validated through the application of Mobius DHRRMS persistent rights management security system and MedPath Secure Networks.
Mobius DHRRMS was developed under contract to the U. S. Military for active duty military personnel to provide a secure, impermeable architecture for their electronic health record to save their lives on or off the battlefield. Affiliate partners, MedPATH and First Genesis have agreed to jointly transfer this technology from a military use into the public sector using MedPATH’s Global Health Information Exchange (GHIX), an existing secure, healthcare network platform based on National Health Information Network (NHIN) standards as they are added.
“Healthcare providers, practitioners of all kinds and above all patients will benefit from this initiative to have the ability to link every medical record in the United States knowing their personal information is in a secure digital “Lock Box”, remarks Paul Hildebrandt, President and CTO of MedPATH Networks. He adds, “First Genesis takes our already exceptionally secure network to new levels of security that are not available to conventional network configurations being used in healthcare today. First and foremost the data is only as secure as the network it rides on, with Mobius DHRRMS the health record data is now secured from any facility, to any other facility or patient.” “This is a quantum leap in security for the private sector and we are proud to help facilitate this advancement with our newest partner, First Genesis.”
About MedPATH Networks, Inc.
Healthcare data is only as meaningful and useful as your ability to access it. In a world of proprietary data languages and software applications, important data is fragmented and sequestered to immobilizing degrees. The management of patient information, facility interconnectivity and regulatory compliance, consequently, requires countless hours of provisioning, computing and attempted converging. Ultimately, healthcare providers are forced to set aside patient care and, instead, function as data managers.
ConvergedCare™ from MedPATH Networks enables interconnectivity between multiple medical software sources and provides secure connections to any local or global healthcare IT system. This Global Health Data Exchange (GHDX) platform enables the turn key integration of all facets of healthcare information exchange, seamlessly interfacing Point-of-Care (POC), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Telehealth, Telemedicine, medical device applications, and healthcare software packages.
MedPATH Networks transforms healthcare information access and allows you to focus on what you do best – providing quality patient care. The company is headquartered in Milwaukee, WI. For more information, contact MedPATH at 262.717.9990 or visit the company website at http://www.medpathnetworks.com
