Author shares an insightful art collection that reveals life’s wonders and truths

In seeking beauty, one seeks truth.

A great man once said, “In seeking beauty, one seeks truth.” Poet-artist Gary Nickolaus puts meaning into this phrase as he brings forth DREAMS FROM MOMENTS LIKE THESE, a metaphysical journey of beauty and truth told through a collection of captivating pieces in poetry and paint.

Completed in a span of thirty-five years, this anthology started only as an art and poetry book. But as the author worked on the poetry, he found himself revealing concepts of his other passion – the attempt to understand the true nature of anything, and everything. “This book comes from that compulsion to know. The painting and poetry are a means to an end—that end being the understanding of the meaning of existence. In both painting and poetry, one is compelled to seek the essence of a thing, to understand its totality,” shares the author.

DREAMS FROM MOMENTS LIKE THESE records writings and illustrations of the artist’s emotions and thoughts – of which his dreams were made. It shares what the artist’s pen and brush captured—touching upon some of life’s truths—and the moments he will take with him, as well as those he will leave behind.

Furthermore, this compelling work of art shows Nickolaus’ trip through life: no great motifs, no great themes, just humans attempting to survive as best they can in whatever circumstances they are given. For more information on DREAMS FROM MOMENTS LIKE THESE, log on to
