The firm’s previous best results came in 2008/9, when the audited turnover figure stood at £5.3million. The financial year 2009/10, which ended on 30th June, saw Eclipse announce a revenue increase of 28% to a record high of £6.8million.
The 5-year period since 2004/5 has seen revenue almost treble (from £2.5 million).
Highlights from the 09/10 period include:
Key strategic implementations including Eversheds LLP, which gives Eclipse a presence in two of the top three UK law firms (source: Legal Technology Insider Top 250)
A total of 78 new client wins across all sectors (not including existing client upgrades)
Around 2,500 Proclaim end-user licence sales, bringing the total Proclaim user figure to over 12,000
Eclipse’s founder and Technical Director, Steve Ough, comments on the firm’s performance:
“This last financial year has seen Eclipse really cement its position as the leading Case Management Software provider. Demand for Proclaim has been unprecedented and, coming so soon out of the 'trough' of the recession, this makes our 09-10 results even more noteworthy.
The current legal IT marketplace is still one where law firms can often not be assured of their vendors' longevity or ownership status. Eclipse's solid credentials, increasingly strong financial performance, and varied client profile put us in an enviable position and we look forward to welcoming many more firms onboard in 2010/11."
