Stella & Dot Extends Mission to Help Women & Families With July 19 Launch Of Stella & Dot Foundation

Since 2007, jewelry company Stella & Dot has empowered women across the United States and Canada to succeed as entrepreneurs. Now it hopes to extend that success into philanthropy with the July 19 launch of the Stella & Dot Foundation.

The mission of the Foundation mirrors that of Stella & Dot: to create positive change in women’s lives through education and economic empowerment. 100% of net proceeds from dedicated products, such as Stella & Dot Foundation bracelets, will go to the Foundation. The Foundation will also allow direct donations through the website (http://www.stelladotfoundation.com) where Stella & Dot stylists (i.e., independent representatives) can donate all or a portion of their commissions from hosted trunk shows, while also allowing customers to give directly.

The Foundation will launch with three charity beneficiaries: Accion USA, which empowers low- to moderate-income women with training, resources and ongoing support to start and grow their business; buildOn, a non-profit that provides after-school programs for underserved high school students in the U.S. while developing schools and literacy programs in developing countries; and Girls Inc., a youth organization offering vital educational programs to millions of U.S. and Canadian girls, particularly those in high-risk communities.
