20 years later Mista Lawnge formerly from BlackSheep has finally released the instrumental tracks. No one has ever had access to these instrumental tracks not even the record label until now.

Mista Lawnge formerly from the duo known as BlackSheep has finally released the instrumental tracks that he produced from their albums "A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing" and "Non Fiction" over 20 years ago. No one has ever had access to these instrumental tracks not even the record label until now.

This instrumental album titled "Silence of the Lambs" has quickly become a collectors item. BlackSheep was the result of a collaborative effort between Mista Lawnge and Dres. In the early 80's and 90's, the structure of a rap group included the artist/duo/group and the DJ. BlackSheep was known as a duo similar to Gangstarr, Pete Rock & CL Smooth and Mobb Deep. There was no Dres without Mr. Long.

This BlackSheep duo built an audience and fan base from the combined efforts of Mista Lawnge's musical talents and Dres' lyrical talent. The duo also wrote other songs together on these well known albums, A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing and Non-Fiction. Their biggest hit "The Choice is Yours" can still be heard today almost 20 years later in the 2010 Kia Motors Commercial "A New Way To Roll". Even the famous hamsters portray the duo in this commercial.

However, since 2006, the duo has gone on to release completely separate projects. Mista Lawnge (now Mr. Long) produced and wrote "The Class of 89" and now "Silence of the Lambs". Dres has released 8WM and Black Pool of Genius. However, after almost 20 years, the duo has decided to reunite to plan a tour in order to give their fans the original BlackSheep music that they still enjoy today. The Silence of the Lambs album is being distributed by Redline Music Distribution and tracks are now available through Amazon, iTunes and more. Stay tuned.
