Spread the Word About the Value of School Notification and Win Up to $10,000 in Grants and Scholarships

SchoolMessenger, a leading provider of parent notification services for education, today announced its Spread The Word Back-to-School Video Contest. The company will award up to $10,000 in grants and scholarships to schools and districts that can best communicate the value of a notification service through a 30-second video. The contest, which runs through September 30, is open to U.S. public schools and districts and affiliated students, employees, clubs, service groups, PTAs and more.

"Our customers understand that by having a notification solution in place their school benefits by increasing parent involvement, academic achievement and safety. But for these same customers, communicating this value to parents and the greater community can be a challenge," said Nate Brogan, vice president of marketing for SchoolMessenger. "By using video to spread the word, schools have a fun, new way to share their plans and encourage families to get involved, and win grants and scholarships while they do."

To create a video for your school, simply visit SchoolMessenger's contest page at http://www.schoolmessenger.com/contest for complete rules and a list of helpful guidelines. Once complete, upload the video and then forward the link to friends and colleagues to vote for your entry.

Two $5,000 grand prizes will be awarded. A 'fan favorite' will be named, based on the video that receives the most votes, and a 'judges' panel' award will be given by SchoolMessenger to the video which best meets the goals and requirements of the contest.
