Newly published book plunges readers into a whirlwind time-traveling experience

A riveting time travel story that is sure to captivate both young and adult readers as author Dale Cahoon deftly weaves The Time Tunnel, his newly released book through Xlibris. From the year 1866 to 2010, family, love, kindness and romance continue to blossom in this tale that stirs the hearts of many.

Near Jackson Hole, Wyoming, during the Old West, Apache Indian warriors ambush a group who are traveling on a wagon train from Missouri towards Idaho. John Travers makes sure that his children won’t be in harm’s way by taking them to a mountain cave where he leaves his children—seventeen-year-old Joshua, fifteen-year-old Clara, ten-year-old Adam, and six-year-old Annie—while waiting for the fight to begin the next morning. Unfortunately, the travelers, including the children’s parents, fall into the hands of the Apaches and the young ones must seek solace and cover in the cave. As the four children go deep into the cave, they find and pass through tunnels that would hopefully conceal them from the Apaches who are looking for them. When the children finally exit the cave on the other side of the mountain, they don’t realize that they are entering into another time and space—Idaho in the year 2010. After long hours of walking, they finally find a ranch, where they could spend the night in the loft of the barn. But when morning comes, the ranch owner’s beautiful, young daughter, Amber is about to give them the surprise of their lives. How has the past crossed over to the future? Will the children ever see their parents again? Readers will soon unravel the mystery as this story unfolds.

The Time Tunnel is a heartwarming story of love—of siblings, family, romance, and more—that will spin readers to another time and place. Whether their differences bring them together or tear them apart can only be unveiled as the tale continues. Sometimes amusing, sometimes heartrending, most of the time engaging, this story is one read that’s hard to put down until the very end. For more information on this book, log on to
