Beginning July 19, 2010, D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches will raise funds for the Jimmy Fund through a coupon book program for the second consecutive year. From Monday, July 19 through Sunday, August 8, guests will have the opportunity to donate $1 to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In return, guests will receive a coupon booklet filled with $16 in coupons for D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches most popular menu items, a Jimmy Fund patient profile and a detachable “End of Season Red Sox” schedule.
The Jimmy Fund, an official charity of the Boston Red Sox, supports the fight against cancer at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, helping to raise the chances of survival for children and adults with cancer around the world. Since its founding in 1948, the Jimmy Fund has raised millions of dollars through thousands of community efforts to advance Dana-Farber’s lifesaving mission. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, with support from the Jimmy Fund, provides expert, compassionate care to children and adults and is home to groundbreaking cancer discoveries. A D’Angelo executive will make the D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches donation during the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund telethon airing on August 19 and 20.
