zumBrunnen, Inc., an independent building consulting firm, is presenting an educational seminar titled "Strengthen Your Bottom Line with Strategic Planning, LEED and Preventative Maintenance Programs" on Thursday, July 29 from 8:30 - 10:30 am at the Florida Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (FAHSA) annual convention in Boca Raton, FL. John zumBrunnen, President and Founder of zumBrunnen, Inc., will discuss the the importance of long-term capital planning and the new LEED-EB program for certification of existing buildings. Joshua Malbogat, Account Executive with Windmill Software, Inc., will serve as a co-presenter and discuss the importance of preventative maintenance (PM) programs. "Strengthen Your Bottom Line with Strategic Planning, LEED and PM Programs" explains how proper assessment, long-term planning and prevention strategies work together to reduce expenses. The educational session is good for 2.0 CEUs and is geared for managers, executives and board members. zumBrunnen will focus on the importance of long-term capital planning and will also discuss the "4R's" of whether to repair, renovate, reposition or replace a facility and discuss the new LEED-EB program for certification of existing buildings. Malbogat will discuss preventative maintenance programs and how to bridge the gap between strategy and execution in real life scenarios. He will discuss the three key pillars of maintenance and their importance, key characteristic of an effective work order system, how to increase productivity and quality, and how to stay in compliance and reduce costs.
FAHSA was established in 1963 as a nonprofit organization. Its purpose is to provide leadership, advocacy, and education for retirement housing and nursing home communities that serve the needs of Florida's retirees.
