GameSoundCon Announces 2010 Fall Conferences

GameSoundCon video game music and video game sound design conference coming to New York City and San Francisco in Fall, 2010.

SoundCon, LLC announces it has added New York City and San Francisco, California to its list of 2010 locations for GameSoundCon, conference on video game music composition and sound design. GameSoundCon New York and San Francisco are 2-day intensive seminars for composers, sound designers and other audio professionals, teaching the unique creative, technical and business challenges essential to working in the game music and game sound design industry.

"We're excited to bring GameSoundCon to New York City," said Brian Schmidt, Executive Director of GameSoundCon. "As one of the world's leading music centers, New York was a natural location for our first East Coast conference. We're also happy to once again host GameSoundCon San Francisco at Pyramind in the heart of downtown San Francisco," continued Brian. "We're thrilled to see the continued growth of GameSoundCon as we expand to New York from Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle."

The top entertainment products are now video games, with opening day sales exceeding even the biggest Hollywood blockbusters. Although many schools teach music composition, audio engineering and sound design, few teach the additional technical and aesthetic skills needed to compose video game music and create sound effects for interactive video games. GameSoundCon attendees will learn the information critical for success in the multi-billion dollar games industry from the industry's leading experts.

GameSoundCon 2010 New York will be held on October 2-3, 2010 at Faculty House in New York City. GameSoundCon 2010 San Francisco will be held November 2-3, 2010 at Pyramind in downtown San Francisco.
