Annual List Honors Young Entrepreneurs Who Are Making a Difference

The annual list, which began in 2007, highlights young entrepreneurs who, according to Inc.’s editors, “are changing the way we do business."

Aaron Houghton and Ryan Allis, Co-Founders of iContact, an industry leader in email marketing services, were named to Inc. Magazine’s 30 Under 30 List for 2010 this week.

Houghton and Allis were included on the list for building iContact to more than 64,000 customers and $26.2 million in sales in 2009. They were also honored for their “4-1’s” corporate social responsibility program. Under the program, iContact gives 1 percent of equity to the iContact Foundation for future investment, 1 percent of its employees’ time to volunteering, 1 percent of its services pro bono to non-profits in North Carolina, and 1 percent of payroll (roughly $150,000) to charity.

Other honorees on the Inc. 30 Under 30 List for 2010 included Naveen Selvadurai, Co-Founder of Foursquare; Garry Tan and Sachin Agarwal, Founders of Posterous; and former President George W. Bush’s niece, Lauren Bush CEO, Creative Director and Co-Founder of FEED Projects.
